StreamOverlay is unlocked with your activation key. Create a free account at streamoverlay.co.uk, then open the desktop or mobile app and paste in the key from your account dashboard. If your key won’t validate, check you’re online and signed in to the right account, then email us.

StreamOverlay is free forever, with an optional Pro plan. You can start, change or cancel Pro, update your card, and see invoices from your account dashboard on the web. See pricing for what’s included. For any billing question — refunds, a failed payment, or a charge you don’t recognise — email us and we’ll sort it out.

Link your channels from the Connect tab in the app using each platform’s official sign-in, and disconnect any at any time. If a platform won’t connect, try disconnecting and reconnecting it; if events still don’t appear, make sure that channel is actually live and then get in touch.

On Android, StreamOverlay can draw your alerts over other apps while you go live — turn on “Show overlays here” and grant “display over other apps”. On iPhone and iPad, the app is a companion: you watch your live activity in real time and build your alert setup, while your on-screen overlays play on the StreamOverlay desktop app or an Android phone (Apple doesn’t allow apps to draw over other apps). Your plan and setup stay in sync across all your devices.

The activity the app shows comes from your viewers’ live chat and gifts. In the mobile app you can block a viewer or mute words from the Activity tab (tap and hold any event, or open the shield icon), and a profanity filter is on by default.
